Happy New Years!

Sean had today off of work, so we took Savannah to the Marbles Museum. She had the BEST time. We had to hurry home and feed her lunch since she almost fell asleep in the car on the way home! This is the very last thing she did at the museum...going down the slide.

Christmas with Cousins!

(Noah is really smiling...the camera caught him off guard)...Christmas eve was awesome. Savannah and Noah had a blast playing in Savannah's Dora Tent. Noah liked it so much that he didn't want to go home for Santa to come:). Savannah absolutely adores Noah. She was thrilled that he came to see her and gave him lots of hugs and kisses.

We have much more to post (including videos), so keep checking the blog!

Savannah Meets Santa

And she is NOT a fan. At least not this year. We waited in line for 1.5 hours and as soon as we got close enough to touch him, she lost it! So, I sat with her and Santa for the photo.

Happy Holidays!

Thanksgiving was wonderful! We spent the day with extended family as Robin's parents opened their home (at Lake Gaston) to the Parham's and Sharpe's. We enjoyed great food and even better company. Thanks again to Tom and Brenda for having us! It was definately a busy place with all the kids running around:_.

Here is a snapshot of the Parham/Sharpe clan.

Tom (Robin's dad) graciously agreed to take a few pictures of us, so I could create our Christmas card for this year. I love this one. Aunt Robin is entertaining Savannah. So cute!

So, you will see this one again. This is the Christmas card shot! I love our family! Christmas is around the corner and we are gearing up to celebrate it in full force. I don't think Savannah will understand much at this time, but she will certainly love opening presents!

Words!

Savannah can say the following words:
dog
ball
horse
belly button
bird
keys

*Dog and ball are said without prompting. She is growing up...where does the time go?

A Lot to Tell!

It has been a while since I've updated the blog. We have had so much going on that I haven't had the time to sit down and load all of the pictures we have taken. I'm not as good as our counterparts (Noah & Kylie) about posting to the blog:), but I'm going to try and do a little better.

Perhaps the biggest news in our family is the birth of Kylie Mae Parham. She is beautiful and very much adored by her parents (Uncle Waylon and Aunt Robin), as well as by her big brother (Cousin Noah). Here is a picture of little Kylie.

We are certainly enjoying the fall weather here in Raleigh. We took Savannah to a pumpkin patch and let her pick out a pumpkin for Halloween. Here is a shot of her running through the mums. She is so mobile now and does not want you to hold her when there is exploring to be done!

Did I mention that Savannah is very BUSY? She is very inquisitive and in to everything! So, dressing as a bee for Halloween (A BUSY Bee) was just perfect! This isn't the best shot, but it is the only one we could get with the antennas on. She isn't a fan of anything on her head (including hairbows).

As I said before, I have been tracked out of school for 3 weeks. I decided to keep Savannah home with me one week instead of sending her to daycare. We had the best time! I really enjoyed being with her everyday and as you might imagine I was always looking for things to keep us busy during the day. We played outside - a LOT, as well as went to the Marbles Museum, on play dates, and of course shopping! The following pictures are from our week at home.
Outside on the porch Halloween day. Just look at that little expression...

Having snack with her lamb. She brings him everywhere.

In the backyard...playing in her new sandbox. A gift from Nana and Granddaddy! She LOVES to play outside and is really grumpy if she can't get outside!

Speaking of Nana and Granddaddy....they came to our house and stayed with Savannah for 5 days while we went to the Dominican Republic! Sean and I took a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and stayed at an all inclusive resort there. We had a wonderful time. Sean told the staff that we were on our honeymoon and we were upgraded to a 5 room suite! We enjoyed our time alone in the sun, but believe me, we were very ready to see our baby again! Thanks to Nana and Granddaddy, she didn't miss a beat. They took wonderful care of her! She loves them so much!!!
Here is a picture of Sean and I in the pool, next to the swim up bar of coure:_!

Yesterday Sean and I were both off from work, so we could spend the day with Savannah after being gone for 5 days. We had fun just lounging around the house and playing. We did take her to her 15 month check up. She got her immunizations, as well as the H1N1 vaccination. Right now, she has a cold and cough. We hope she doesn't develop anything more! Here are the stats from her 15 month appointment. Weight: 22.8 lbs. Height 31 1/2 inches. Her weight is in the 25% range and her height is in the 75% range. She is going to be tall!

Lots of News!

Savannah LOVES the outdoors. She likes to stand at the door talking to herself and looking out. It is so cute!

She also like to open and shut the door. We are watching her pretty closely, because it will not be much longer before she can open the door by herself.

We took Savannah to a Carolina Hurricanes Fan Appreciation day. She had a great time in the bounce house.

Noah and Savannah will kill us for this one day:_! We had dinner over at Nana's house a few weeks ago and gave them a bath together before leaving. They had a great time playing in the water!!
This is one of my favorite pictures! We are still working with Savannah with eating new table foods. Right now she has her favorites: bread, fruit, crackers, and sometimes chicken nuggets.

Busy, Busy, Busy, and Pneumonia

Savannah and Cousin Noah on the lawn at North Hills. They are so sweet with each other.
The "busy, busy, busy" refers to Savannah, not our schedule. She is so inquisitive about everything around her.

She likes to try and eat the things we eat. The picture below is Savannah munching on a WHOLE nectarine.

Bath time fun with Daddy. Check out the Mohawk!

Pullen Park swings with Mommy. Savannah LOVES to swing!

This is her "latest thing". She climbs in her toy box and sits. Did I mention climbing? Savannah climbs on everything! I'm convinced that she is going to be very athletic.

Last Sunday afternoon, Sean and I had to take Savannah to the emergency room. She went down for her afternoon nap healthy and happy. When she woke up 2 hours later, she was warm and breathing with little grunts. As anyone could imagine, this scared me to death! Sean was on his way home from borrowing a power washer from my parents and as soon as he got home we made the decision to take her to the Emergency room. Her fever was spiking and the breathing was continuing. Of course, when we got to the emergency room she seemed to be feeling better. Three and half hours later, the ER doctor after viewing her chest x-rays, determined that Savannah had the beginnings of pneumonia. He put her on an antibiotic and told us to alternate tylenol/motrin for the fever. Our poor little girl was miserable for most of last week. We decided to keep her out of daycare for the week and while granddaddy was babysitting on Tuesday, she began to breath with the grunts again. I rushed her over to the Pediatricians office (we had an appointment anyway for a follow up) and the doctor said she was just fighting a virus. The breathing was due to the fever.
As I'm writing this blog, Savannah is taking a nap and seems to be feeling much better today. I just hope she continues to feel better:)!

Savannah's 1st Birthday Party!!!

Happy first birthday to my sweet girl! We celebrated Savannah's first birthday on Saturday, August 8th with a Splash Party at our house. A good time was had by all! I'll tell the story through pictures.

Just chillin' at her party. Savannah loved visiting each pool and practicing her new walking skills.

Hanging out with Great Uncle Royal! Savannah kept us all busy!

Kieryn and Jack (Our friends Louis and Toni's children) splashing in the pool.

Savannah with one of her boyfriends, Alex Brown. Alex is my friend Kristen's little boy. He is 1 month older than Savannah.

Anderson Stutts and his dad Eric and brother John Cameron, who live down the street, came to the party. We were so glad to see them!

Savannah's other boyfriend, Wilson Hayes, who lives 2 doors down from us. His parents are our friends and neighbors, Alston and Will. Wilson is exactly 3 weeks older than Savannah. They are great pals!

John Cameron and Logan... more Currituck neighbors. We are so glad they could come help us celebrate!

Lyndsey Delamar with her daddy, Bryan. Such a sweet girl! Lyndsey and her sister, Katy, pictured below go to Kindercare with Savannah. Their mom, Kristy, is also my good friend and co-worker!

Baby Katy...she knows how to party!

Sweet Sloane Barnes, daughter of Katie and Stu Barnes. Katie and I are good teaching friends!

Thanks to all of you who were able to join us on this special day. There were so many other friends, nieghbors, and family members that aren't pictured, but were here with us on this special day. We love you all!!!

Savannah Walks.

Little Savannah is growing up! In just one week our little girl has gone from two little steps to all out walking! She doesn't even want to crawl at all anymore. Take a look... not bad for only one week, huh?

Sharpe Family Reunion

The Sharpe's spent a week at Myrtle Beach. Savannah had an opportunity to meet all of her daddy's family. After 14 years, for the first time, all of the Sharpe's got together for a reunion at Myrtle Beach, SC.

Savannah on the beach. She loved walking on the beach in the morning (since she likes to get up earlier than everyone else).

Savannah has really mastered the art of picking up and eating food. She LOVES to eat puffs!

We took a trip to Broadway on the Beach. Savannah's cousins Kristina and Joseph were stopped by a bear while shopping.

Cousin Ashley met up with the same bear.

We spent one of our nights learning how to "shag". The shag is a dance that is famous at the beach in the Carolina's. Katie and Grandpa Sharpe arranged for a shag instructor to come to the house and show us some moves!

Savannah got in on the action of learning how to shag.

Shagging really isn't as easy as it looks!

Goofing around with her cousins. Joseph had the "touch" with Savannah. She really loved playing with him.

Goofing around with her cousins: Joseph, Brian, and Kristina.

Savannah and Daddy on the beach.

Savannah didn't really like the water and the sand at the beach over Memorial Day weekend, however this trip was a different story.

A family shot on the beach.

The Grand kids (Kristina, Savannah, Ashley, Brian, & Joseph). This isn't all of them by any means...Savannah is #12!
Grandpa Sharpe with the grand kids.

We visited the aquarium during our trip. It was a good break from being in the sun since it was very HOT the entire time we were at Myrtle Beach. This is a shot of Savannah in a clam:).

Cousin Ashley, Aunt Sherrin, Cousin Joseph, Cousin Kristina, Aunt Shelley, Uncle Pete

A Sharpe Shot

Savannah was mesmerized with some of the fish.

Poor Aunt Shelley and her Jelly Fish Friend. We don't think this is the one that stung her, b/c she would have had to be very far out for him to sting her.

Savannah is a bubble at the aquarium. It was suppose to represent an egg.
